A View to a Kill
DIRECTOR: JOHN GLEN
CAST: CHRISTOPHER WALKEN, GRACE JONES
Jones gets to nosedive off the Eifel Tower and more as Amazonian sidekick to Christopher Walken’s bottle-blonde Übermensch terrorist Max Zorin, who’s hatching a plan to destroy Silicon Valley. (In 1985 this was considered a bad thing.) To the rescue comes Roger Moore, the most camp of James Bonds in one of his most camp efforts, who singlehandedly invents snowboarding before the end of the movie’s first reel. The only thing more thrilling than the Golden Gate Bridge climax is the Duran Duran title song.
A View to a Kill is screening as part of the series Grace Jones.
