No upcoming showtimes scheduled.
Director: Garrett Bradley, Garrett Bradley
2017 / 70min / DCP

A collection of Bradley’s short works, made in the years leading up to and following the watershed of Time. In Alone (2017), Bradley creates a stirringly poetic documentary that puts a human face on the ravages of the American carceral state as a conflicted young woman contemplates marrying her recently imprisoned boyfriend. America (2019) offers a breathtaking cinematic omnibus highlighting the lesser-known histories of 1915 to 1926.

A Negro, a Lim-o (2022), made in collaboration with artist and filmmaker Arthur Jafa, examines the legacy of Just Above Midtown (JAM), a “laboratory” for the practices of Black artists founded by Linda Goode Bryant in 1964. This work was commissioned as an extension of the MoMA exhibition Just Above Midtown: Changing Spaces.
